Trail Rides
A 50-55 minute guided horseback ride through National Forest, mountain meadows and/or breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe.

Know Before You Go
All rides weather permitting and may be cancelled with minimal notice due to inclement weather conditions for safety
There is dust along the trail, we recommend a bandana or sunglasses to protect you from the dust.
Terms & Ride Criteria
- We reserve the right to refuse service, if we have any concerns regarding your safety, the safety of our animals or our property.
- Riders must meet the “Essential Eligibility Criteria”
- No Expectant Mothers
- We reserve the right to refuse service to any person who appears to be impaired and under the influence of drugs and or alcohol
- No smoking, eating or drinking while on horseback
- NO Carry-Ons Allowed including water bottles, backpacks, purses, fanny packs, or selfie sticks
- You may wear a good ol’ fashioned camera or cell phone around your neck used for camera purposes only.
- We recommend you wear long pants, closed toe shoes. No flip-flops or high heels allowed
- No Double Riding
- All Trail Rides are guided, easy going and at a walk
If unable to meet Essential Eligibility Criteria, these following services are available with reservations.
- Pony Rides for little ones under 5 years old.
Eligibility criteria
- Riders must be 6 years old
- Weigh less than 225 pounds (102 Kg)
- Be able to independently mount & dismount or do so with little assistance from an employee
- Maintain your own balance and sit stable while on the horse
- Follow simple verbal instructions
- Wear appropriate closed toe shoes — NO SANDALS
- Read & understand “Things to know before you go”
- All rides weather permitting and may be cancelled with minimal notice due to inclement weather conditions for safety
- 24 Hour Cancellation Policy – all reservations of 4 or more riders are required to cancel 24 hours ahead of your scheduled ride.
- If you No Call No Show, or show up with less then the amount of Riders booked, or riders do not meet the ride criteria, the Credit Card on file will be charged the full amount of your ride at the time of your reservation.
- If Camp Richardson Corral determines the Weather is unsafe to ride, you will not be charged for your trail ride *
- Please Arrive 30 Minutes Prior to your Scheduled Ride time to check in.
- We recommend you wear a Bandana and Sunglasses if you are sensitive to Dust.

Extended Trail Rides
Enjoy a scenic guided horseback ride through National Forest, mountain meadows or nearby Fallen Leaf Lake with views of spectacular Lake Tahoe lasting just short of two hours.

Pony Ride
A gentle kids horse ride, is great for riders 5 and under. A pony ride is a five minute loop on one of our gentle kids horses. Lead by a wrangler, this is a great way for lil-ones to get acquainted with horses and a great photo op! We offer “pony” rides June-Labor Day. Reservations required , call ahead for availability as this ride fills up fast!
